Professional experience
Garry’s career commenced in 1993 in Canberra with a ‘Big 4’ firm, where he worked for several years with Rod Scott, our Senior Audit Partner.
Garry was recruited by Nexia Australia’s Canberra Office in 1999 on the basis of his excellent technical skills and his ability to provide a superior level of service to his clients.
Garry fosters a team environment with his fellow team members to ensure the development of strong and supportive working relationships and to transfer skills amongst the team members. He is approachable, friendly and takes a real interest in his clients. He is driven by the relationships that he forms with his clients, which he believes is a necessary component of exceptional service delivery.
Garry has worked across a range of industries and business sectors. He is able to quickly grasp issues that may be relevant to his clients and tailor his advice to particular circumstances.
Garry takes a hands-on approach to service delivery and develops a ‘trusted advisor’ relationship with his clients. He is interested in achieving results for his clients rather than simply enforcing compliance.
