Bob has over 15 years’ experience in providing Taxation Consulting Services and Business Solutions to a range of entities from sole traders to multinational corporations.

With his easy-going and down to earth approach, Bob is able to build a strong relationship with his clients and provide the “Next Solution”. He prides himself on his ability to provide tailored advice that often go above and beyond clients’ wants and needs.

As a member of the Nexia team since 2008, Bob is experienced in business planning, management reporting and taxation advice.

Bob was also the recipient of the Advanced Tax Dux Awards presented by the Tax Institute in 2010.

Darren has worked in the Audit and Assurance industry for over 15 years, including 10 years of experience working in South Africa where Darren began his career.

Darren has and continues to work with a broad spectrum of clients including family businesses, manufacturers and not-for-profit organisations. His experience has allowed him to build a great depth of specialised knowledge and strong market insight.

Darren is committed to maintaining close client relationships through his open and approachable demeanour. He is always working to exceed his client’s expectations through developing a genuine understanding of their needs. With a keen sense of humour and willingness to go the extra mile, he is always able to meet the needs of his clients..

Brian started as a management accountant in the government sector, and then moved to the corporate sector. His career spans over 30 years in a range of industries and covers a wide range of business areas; including: operations; finance; management accounting; compliance and risk; business analysis; dealing with regulators; client management; Financial Systems; Business Management IT Systems; as well as policy and procedure development and implementation.

Prior to joining Nexia, Brian was general manager of a listed finance company for 10 years. During this time, Brian oversaw and participated in numerous projects during the business development.

These projects included:

• System implementations
• Compliance reviews
• Business analysis and process mapping
• Business process re-engineering
• Implementation and training of a companywide operations / procedures manual
• Business cases for funding from external financiers
• Involved in the due diligence process for M&A advisory

Michael joined the team in 2014 and has over a decade of experience as a superannuation accountant. He is skilled in all aspects of self-managed superannuation compliance and administration. 

Raj is a Chartered Accountant with 22 years of internal and external auditing experience in the private and public sectors. He has been a member of the Nexia Canberra Audit & Assurance team since 2007.

Prior to joining Nexia Canberra, Raj worked as an internal auditor for the Reserve Bank of New Zealand and the National Audit Office in Canberra. 

Raj has extensive experience in the audit of clients across various industries, managing the audit approach and the key stakeholders to ensure smooth, efficient and on-time delivery.

In David’s role as a Tax Partner within Nexia, he assists clients with complex transaction advisory and annual compliance matters to help them navigate through Australia’s ever changing tax system.

David brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Taxation team. Having previously worked as a tax specialist in both mid-tier and big 4 firms, he advises clients across a range of industries, with many clients having the complexities of cross border dealings, tax consolidated groups and/or trust structures.

His experience includes working with fund managers, private equity, manufacturers, distributors, real estate businesses, and many other businesses. David prides himself on ensuring clients are receiving timely advice and the most commercial outcomes. He enjoys the challenge of communicating complex issues to his clients in a way that is easy to understand and action.

David also assists with complex tax compliance matters and completes the tax sign-off for numerous audits. This means David understands how any advice will affect the tax return and financial statements for his clients, allowing him to ensure any advice is implemented properly.

Sam is a solicitor and an accountant with extensive experience in advising SME’s to large corporates on investment structures and transactions across a broad range of industries - with a particular emphasis on M&A and tax-efficient international financing/investment structures.

As a Tax Partner within our Nexia Sydney office, Sam prides himself on ensuring clients are receiving timely advice and the most commercial outcomes and enjoys the challenge of communicating complex issues in an easy to understand way. He brings strong experience having worked as a tax specialist in both mid-tier and big 4 firms.

Sam specialises in providing advice to clients across a range of industries, with many clients having the complexities of cross border dealings, tax consolidated groups and/or trust structures. His expertise sees him servicing a broad range of clients from large family groups, multinationals, private equity, distributors and service businesses, amongst others.

Sam and his team of specialists have a dedicated focus on uncovering latent cash assets and future savings for clients across a broad range of tax fields in a risk-free manner. Together, they can assist with the structuring, implementation and ongoing compliance management to minimise the workload of clients’ teams and maximising the value provided over time.

In addition, Sam assists with complex tax compliance matters and completes the tax sign-off for numerous audits. This means he understands how any advice will affect the tax return and financial statements for his clients, allowing him to ensure any advice is implemented properly.

Tania is a Senior Manager for Business Advisory at Nexia Brisbane South with over 10 years commercial accounting experience and 15 years public practice experience.

Her experience ranges from family operated business, building and construction, transport and delivery companies, as well as the hospitality sector.  Tania’s passion is growing small businesses and helping them achieve their individual and business goals.

Erin has over 13 years of experience working with clients across several industries in our Audit & Assurance division. Erin has been a key female leader of our Audit Team at Nexia Sydney for over a decade, during which time she has and continues to successfully deliver services to both long-term and new clients.

Erin has furthered her experience by working in the United Kingdom with our Nexia affiliates. Her extensive experience has allowed her to develop expertise in the private sector, government sector, education, agriculture, viticulture, financial services, retail and the not-for-profit industries.

Throughout her career, Erin has developed outstanding project management and communication skills which allows her to provide tailored advice to suit the individual needs of her clients. Her expertise extends across providing external audit and assurance services, financial reporting, due diligence and audit ready services.

Erin is known by her clients to be highly knowledgeable, and delivers targeted audit plans with practical and dynamic solutions. She takes a proactive approach and invests time to understand her clients’ business, their environment and their goals to ensure a seamless audit process.

As a leader, Erin is extremely caring and takes a genuine interest in her staff’s development and their careers to help them become the best young professional they can be. Erin is always ready to lend a helping hand, which is consistent with her supportive and collaborative approach. Outside of her work within the division, Erin is also a contributor to Nexia Sydney’s CSR Committee and the National Nexia Balance Committee.

Lydia has over 15 years of experience in Corporate Advisory and Professional Accounting, including 6 years of experience working in Shanghai, China.

Lydia works on a range of corporate finance transactions including valuations and expert reports, M&A’s, IPO and capital raising, due diligence and investigating accountants reporting. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to work across a diverse range of industries including healthcare, education, technology, manufacturing, retail, real estate and agriculture.

Lydia has a strong desire to develop a genuine understanding of her clients’ needs, which allows her to provide clients with the best possible outcomes. Her ability to maintain high work standards whilst under pressure ensures her clients are receive quality decisions in a timely manner.

She is a resilient leader with a desire to deliver the highest of professional standards. Her ability to take responsibility for her actions as well as manage projects and people, sees her as a well-respected leader across the firm.
