Adelaide
Our Adelaide office has been fortunate to not be fully-restricted by COVID-19, as they recently were able to enjoy hosting small internal COVID-safe events.
September 9 was “R U OK?” Day, and the office took the opportunity to discuss important issues regarding mental health in the workplace. The day was topped off by gathering together and enjoying afternoon tea with some “R U OK” branded donuts.
The office also held their quarterly internal event; ‘greatspace’ where they discussed promotions, celebrated firm achievements and discussed what the firm is looking to achieve in the future.
Brisbane
Our team in Brisbane have recently established their ‘Culture Club’, dedicated to creating a better workplace environment for the firm. The club empowers employees to create a workplace where they feel challenged, mentored, involved, and most of all, valued.
Their core goal is to make Nexia Brisbane an employer of choice. The team has evaluated aspects of the firm that work well, and made other suggestions to continuously improve other areas, such as their pillars of culture, activities and events, day-to-day operations, collaboration and mental wellbeing.
Christchurch
In August Nexia New Zealand hosted an event in Christchurch in partnership with the Institute of Directors. Drawing from their accounting and governance experience, Nexia New Zealand Partner Mike Medlicott and Associate Brylie Gray presented to a full room on how to create a winning strategy for financial success.
Auditor Proud Day
This year, the #AuditorProud Day was celebrated for a whole week, from 27 September 2021 to 1 October 2021.
At Nexia, we value our GREAT people and take special note of the past 12 months, particularly in response to the continuing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our teams have shown immense resilience and agility, truly demonstrating what it means to be part of the Nexia network.
Across the Nexia Australia and New Zealand network, we celebrated and said thank you to our auditors in different ways throughout the week . We hope that all of our auditors took the time to enjoy the week and reflect on the GREAT work that they do.
