Every so often, you come across an organisation that possesses an innate ability to make you stop, think and greatly admire what they do and what they stand for. Although health professionals generally foster kindness through their simple mantra of wanting to help, this organisation goes further, approaching every aspect of their operation with values and principles that have, and will continue to, stand them in excellent stead for sustained success.

Kern Allied Health, is a forward-thinking allied health provider, highly motivated and driven to set new standards in their delivery of occupational therapy, speech pathology, physiotherapy, psychology and specialised services. It’s not just the service delivery that sets the tone for the business, it’s their profound desire to make a positive impact across every aspect of their day to day business. The company currently provides allied health services across three areas: Hospitals, Aged Care and Community Services.

Their Story

Established in 2006 by Managing Director, Mark Kerns, Kern Allied Health started life with a clearly defined mission; to make a genuine difference in people’s lives.

In order to make this difference, Mark set about defining what remains as the central operating mantra for the business today; being client-centric, values-driven, service-focused and committed to developing more effective means of delivering therapy.

By remaining steadfast to this mission and mantra, Kern Allied Health has built its systems, processes and recruitment strategy to reflect a business that holds these principles close. As the business has grown, the corresponding supervisory and management teams have been carefully selected to further embed the nurturing of the mission and mantra amongst the wider health service delivery team. Staff were, and are still, recruited very much on the basis of being ‘Kern People’, which has strengthened the brand and reputation of the organisation over the years.
