Erin has over 13 years of experience working with clients across several industries in our Audit & Assurance division. Erin has been a key female leader of our Audit Team at Nexia Sydney for over a decade, during which time she has and continues to successfully deliver services to both long-term and new clients.

Erin has furthered her experience by working in the United Kingdom with our Nexia affiliates. Her extensive experience has allowed her to develop expertise in the private sector, government sector, education, agriculture, viticulture, financial services, retail and the not-for-profit industries.

Throughout her career, Erin has developed outstanding project management and communication skills which allows her to provide tailored advice to suit the individual needs of her clients. Her expertise extends across providing external audit and assurance services, financial reporting, due diligence and audit ready services.

Erin is known by her clients to be highly knowledgeable, and delivers targeted audit plans with practical and dynamic solutions. She takes a proactive approach and invests time to understand her clients’ business, their environment and their goals to ensure a seamless audit process.

As a leader, Erin is extremely caring and takes a genuine interest in her staff’s development and their careers to help them become the best young professional they can be. Erin is always ready to lend a helping hand, which is consistent with her supportive and collaborative approach. Outside of her work within the division, Erin is also a contributor to Nexia Sydney’s CSR Committee and the National Nexia Balance Committee.

Lydia has over 15 years of experience in Corporate Advisory and Professional Accounting, including 6 years of experience working in Shanghai, China.

Lydia works on a range of corporate finance transactions including valuations and expert reports, M&A’s, IPO and capital raising, due diligence and investigating accountants reporting. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to work across a diverse range of industries including healthcare, education, technology, manufacturing, retail, real estate and agriculture.

Lydia has a strong desire to develop a genuine understanding of her clients’ needs, which allows her to provide clients with the best possible outcomes. Her ability to maintain high work standards whilst under pressure ensures her clients are receive quality decisions in a timely manner.

She is a resilient leader with a desire to deliver the highest of professional standards. Her ability to take responsibility for her actions as well as manage projects and people, sees her as a well-respected leader across the firm.

Ben is an innovative professional with more than 25 years of accomplishment in providing external audit services and CFO services to a broad range of clients in both the private and public sector. His experience with systems and procedures ensures that, apart from an audit opinion being provided, proactive management advice is provided that will benefit his clients.

Ben acted as CFO for a group of companies in South Africa before migrating to Australia in 2006 and became an audit partner with WHK (Now Crowe Horwath) in Victoria before joining Walker Wayland Advantage from October 2014 to February 2020 as audit partner. He joined Nexia Melbourne in March 2020 as Audit Director.

His extensive audit experience was gained with listed entities, VAGO, large non –reporting entities, not for profits entities, incorporated associations, and covered industries such as manufacturing, retail, education, health, clubs, associations and self-managed superfunds.

Stephen joins us with a wealth of knowledge and expertise. He has 20 years’ experience in leading professional service firms, and held three positions as a successful CEO and Managing Partner in both law and accounting firms.

He has a reputation as an inspiring leader with strong values, for being a “people person” and for getting things done.  

Stephen was admitted and practised as a solicitor for many years before taking on professional services firm leadership roles. Stephen is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Non-Executive Director of The Executive Connection’s Parent company and a member of the NSW Regional Council for Redkite, a charity supporting families who have a child with cancer. 

Matt’s work involves providing clients with an efficient and personable service through all stages of the audit process, and providing technical advice regarding accounting and financial reporting matters.

He has international experience from his time on secondment through Nexia International. He spent three months in London working in Assurance and also three months in San Francisco where he gained experience auditing hedge funds.

He has presented on accounting and auditing topics, including fraud, to the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand Business Forum which is designed for business and financial professionals to keep up to date on the latest industry changes.  

George provides valuation, corporate advisory and litigation support services. He specialises in commercial business valuations, financial modelling, economic loss assessments and insolvency.

George also helps clients wind up their solvent companies, with an emphasis on speed, efficiency and maximising distributions to shareholders tax-effectively.

Vincent has over 10 years’ experience as a chartered accountant and has been a member of the team at Nexia for 6 years.

He strives to deliver consistent, professional and reliable services to his clients. His experience with corporate and indirect taxes, along with business advisory, allows him to develop a strong understanding of the issues facing his clients and provide tailored and customised solutions based on their individual situation and goals.

Vincent maintains an easy-going and approachable manner and aims to build a strong personal relationship with his clients. His main aim to assist his clients in making informed and considered business decisions that relate to the everyday running of their business. Vincent also has a passion in assisting his clients to grow their business into new services lines and offerings and adapting to meet the ever-changing business environment.

He works with a range of businesses and family groups, however, has a special interest in working with entrepreneurs and medical specialists.

A grounded professional with a well-rounded perspective, Justin sees more than just numbers, he sees data for what it is—the story of your business. Meticulous in approach, his noted attention to detail, intelligibility and inclusiveness ensures at all times, he communicates clearly and concisely with clients, instilling both comfort and confidence.

As Director - Audit, Justin’s role involves strengthening Nexia Perth’s audit service line and through technological integration, delivering efficient and effective outcomes. Equally adept addressing mum and dad operations or C-Suite executives, Justin specialises in delivering audit assignments to public unlisted companies, ASX-listed companies, Local and State Government departments, Not-for-profits, Indigenous corporations, foreign-owned groups with Australian subsidiaries, Australian companies with foreign subsidiaries, large privately-owned entities and trusts.

Technologically savvy, Justin commands an impressive array of proficiencies and skills, aiming to complete the audit experience with better educated and properly informed clients. To that end, Justin delivers high-quality and timely audit and assurance services.

George has worked in Business Advisory for over 5 years. His clients include small to medium sized corporates, large family groups and high-net-worth individuals. George understands that no two business are the same and has a strong desire to understand his client’s individual needs. He enjoys providing his clients with timely and personalised business advice to see them achieve their goals.

He has experience working in taxation and management consulting, group structuring for tax purposes, cloud accounting software knowledge, international subsidiary advice and financial statement preparation.

He aims to build strong relationships through open communication and maintains an easy-going and approachable manner with his clients and fellow team members.

Scott also has expertise in the areas of business structuring, business development and business sale and acquisition; including preparing a business for sale, due diligence and valuations.

Scott works closely with clients across a range of industries including horticulture, manufacturing, technology, service and franchise sectors. An active member of the Franchise Association of New Zealand, Scott is passionate about helping franchise businesses grow and improve performance. He is also part of the franchise industry leadership group which was involved in establishing New Zealand’s first biennial franchise survey
